It is definitely a low spoons meal day today.


Anyone else have an adventurous day like we did? We were practically river front property. Or perhaps island property!


Surrounded by water.


But it went down as quick as it went up.


Might be a toastie night tonight.


I have been up since 3:30am. Could hear the river and it sounded close but couldn't see it.


OMGEEE, too much of an adventure- I hope today is a much less eventful day for your, Tilly & the chooks! Xx

The trusty ol slow cooker!


This week I chucked a beef roast, with some mixed herbs, gravy powder and a litre of beef stock in my slow cooker.


I sliced some up and added roast veggies from a pre prepared pack of frozen veg and there was one meal.


I shredded the rest of the roast (FYI for anyone with uncooperative hands like me, I used my mixer to do this).


I put the meat in take away containers.


One meal from that I added frozen mixed veg to the meat and layered it with sweet potato mash (can buy already prepared or pre cut, or this is something you can do with your support worker) and cheese. Cottage pie.

One of my go to meals that tick most of the boxes of my daily requirements as an AuteyAdher, Zebra, and anklosaur with all the usual bonus extras these conditions have even on their own, is a stir fry.


Except mine is the most basic of basics, as I really struggle to stand for long.


So I usually purchase a tray of skewers, that are marinated.


My favourite is just the honey soy, but I've used satay, Asian sauce, plum, or whatever flavour I feel like that shopping day.


I take the meat off of two of the skewers and cook it up, add one of those frozen vegetables stream packs, and then the cup rice.


Done.


I also keep hospital grade sustagen in the cupboard. I mix it in coffee and take it after having a lactaid tablet and that counts as breakfast or lunch!
